Traces of summer

Living a yogic life is one that reflects a purity of essence. This is not to say we have to choose what we can live with but rather determine what we simply cannot live without. I believe there is nothing better than a summer day to demonstrate what is real, what is necessary, what is true. The child in all of us is beckoning a return to the essential joys in life -salty unkept hair, white tees with tanned skin and watermelon smiles. These long light filled days, the scent of lavender, honeysuckle and sage invite us to pare away from superficial worries that cause tension. Perhaps the entire point of a yogic life is one that is palpably lived.
