Giving meaning to the experience and sustenance to the soul

About Kimberly Paul

With a life consumed seeking art, beauty, yoga and a good cup of coffee, Kimberly is best described as erudite with a penchant for the simple wonders found in nature.  Her best tool to gain insight,  enhance and bring clarity to our increasingly distracted existence, is yoga.

With over 25 years dedicated to the practice -informed by numerous trainings, teaching, travel and the challenges of life, Kimberly endeavors to brings a wealth and purity of information.

Prior to her years teaching yoga, she had a high profile career in New York City in the design department for Ralph Lauren Womenswear and then as a wardrobe and prop stylist for renowned commercial photographers and ad agencies.  In a life changing event, what began as a two week retreat commenced a nine-month stay and spiritual practice.  In 1996, the then Kripalu Center, where she did her initial training, was small residential yoga community offering a curriculum of yoga, meditation, and  in-depth self-discovery programs to its residents.

Kimberly continues to seek out teachers and methods that provide rigor and discipline, without being so rooted in dogma that there is no room for exploration and growth. Having worked extensively with Anna Forest, Edward Clark and Kofi Busi,  Kimberly’s teaching is premised on traditional methods but with the knowledge that this foundation sets the basis for one’s continued development. Understanding the complexities of asana as a way to simplify life and to appreciate the everyday are the tenants that underlie her philosophy.   currently she is under the tutelage of tom meyers, studying structural integration, body mapping and body based trauma.

Kimberly brings this approach to her weekly group classes and private clientele in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as to numerous international residencies and retreats throughout Europe, Central and North America.
